POWERless

Good morning friends and partners,

I want to start by thanking so many of you for praying for our family for various reasons over the last weeks.

I’m thankful God sustained me through my hernia surgery and that it was a success; however, recovery has left me feeling powerless. A feeling that’s become all too familiar lately.

Surgery requires an intense level of vulnerability leaving you tired, fatigued, and in need of rest - which I normally resist. Recovery has been a learning curve for this ole guy, so please continue to pray for my recovery in preparation for upcoming missions.

This lesson in powerlessness came on all the more heavily through the birth of my first grandson, Titus Palo Lee, just days after my surgery. Titus had complications at birth which has caused him to undergo treatments ever since.

Many of you have followed our social media updates and prayed significantly for our family. You’ve sent messages of prayers and encouragement. We have felt so uplifted and supported by you all and for that, we want to say, β€œTHANK YOU!”

Our most current update is that Baby Titus is moving towards greater health every day. Hannah Beth and Andrew were thrilled to finally hold and kiss their baby after 5 long days of waiting.

Cathy has had the energy and servanthood of an army as she has helped Hannah Beth and Andrew manage so many aspects of Baby Titus’ arrival and preparation of him coming home (prayerfully and hopefully this week)!

Powerlessness is a terribly frustrating state. One that can become depressive if it lasts long enough. Our family has fought this with prayers, praise, and through community with followers of Jesus who have been on this journey as well. God heard our prayers and Jesus came to Baby Titus in this great time of need! He is healing my grandson!

These experiences have brought about the refreshing of our Prayer & Praise Page on our website. JPM has a wonderful base of Prayer Warriors who truly pray and fast in the presence of the Almighty!

We desire for our website to be a place where prayers, praises and miracles can be shared and proclaimed! Please take advantage of this partnership and submit your own prayer request or praise report! There is no request or proclamation too small or too big to share.

Yesterday, JPM left for Dawson Springs & Mayfield, Kentucky where the tornado destroyed these two communities this past December 2021. We are excited to deliver their shoes!

Please continue to pray as these families and children continue to live in desperate conditions.

When we leave Kentucky, we will go directly to the Navajo Reservation. This will be our first time back since Christmas. We are eager to update you next month about our work there via the JPM Navajo Water Project and the present water situation.

Please pray for the Navajo people as the darkness and evil have lurked in the reservation for many decades. JPM’s presence is a help and encouragement! We seek to not only bless these people, but be an encouragement to the ministries and missionaries who reside there.

After the Navajo Reservation, we will go directly to Tecate, Mexico. We are excited to receive news about the great work happening at our two JPM Churches there! Both of these churches work to support our great mission of Feeding 1 Million Children Daily! They help ensure our children and families have food on a regular basis.

God knows our greatest need here is a Truck/SUV donation! This is needed to more efficiently deliver regular food donations while JPM is not present and to have a JPM vehicle available for when we do visit.

PRAY (this is always first and most important!)

SHARE (please share our facebook posts, instagram posts, website posts, etc.)

DONATE (if you prayerfully feel led to donate your time, money, vehicle, etc., please do so here or email JPM for more information!)

Cathy and I thank you for your prayers during this difficult season. We have felt and experienced the miraculous power of Jesus! We are in awe and overwhelmed by the love of God and what Jesus is doing in and through us.

Thank you so much as we pray together to serve Jesus.  Amen!

Much love and many prayers and blessings,

Joey & Cathy
