WHAT DOES RESCUE MEAN?
Kids JPM rescued in Kenya in April 2026
As we celebrate 250 years as a nation, Joey Potter Missions is preparing for several important projects over the next few months. We are thrilled to partner with Browning High School Sports Camp in Montana and FCA Montana in July 2026.
This will be the first time Browning High School has hosted an athletic camp with Christian coaches and leaders as part of the staff. It will also be the first time the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been part of this camp. We are grateful for this opportunity and excited to see how God will work through it.
At Joey Potter Missions, the word rescue can mean many things depending on the country, location, and situation. In the most extreme cases, rescue means helping remove children from dangerous or abusive situations and placing them in a JPM Rescue Home or orphanage, where loving foster parents can care for their every need.
Right now, Joey Potter Missions has official paperwork in Roatan Island, Honduras, and Simba Hills, Kenya, for children we have rescued and helped oversee from the day they were rescued until the day they graduate.
We would love your questions, feedback, and prayers regarding our Rescue and Sponsorship work. We also ask that you continue sharing our mission and encouraging others to pray, give, and spread the word.
This past week, JPM had to turn away 12 mothers who came from the Maasai lands, where many children are at risk of being sold as child brides or forced into labor. These mothers had heard about Joey Potter Missions, Ray of Hope Rescue, and the sponsorship of 20 girls and boys currently being cared for through this work.
Right now, JPM is building dorms, beds, and everything needed to prepare for an expected 100 children who are waiting to be rescued and brought into the Rescue Home.
These 100 children are waiting, and honestly, we do not know how many parents have not yet sold their children. In some cases, if a child is a newborn, parents may sell the baby immediately, and we do not know what happens to these newborn children. Please pray with us for the children who are waiting and for the newborn babies who are in danger.
Joey Potter Missions is asking churches and teams of Christian men and women to come together and create JPM Teams to help rescue and sponsor children through our ongoing projects in Roatan Island, Honduras; Simba Hills, Kenya; Tecate, Mexico; and the Blackfeet Reservation in Browning, Montana.
This new development continues the mission God has placed before us:
DRILL. RESCUE. FEED.
This is what JPM has been focused on for the past nine months. We are working to find balance in our three main areas of ministry:
Drilling
Rescuing
Feeding
We ask for your prayers and feedback. If you have seen the work of JPM, experienced it firsthand, or have thoughts about how we can best support and bless children who are at risk, we would love to hear from you.
Our upcoming prayer requests include the Blackfeet Camp in July, our work in Tecate and Mexicali, Mexico, in August, and our planned month of ministry in Kenya.
Our time in Kenya will be longer because JPM will be working with Ray of Hope to move more than 100 children into the dorms and help them become comfortable, loved, and cared for in their new homes. There is so much involved in this process, and I hope to share video updates so you can see how it all takes place.
You are also welcome to call me personally. I love sharing how God helped us accomplish this work in September 2025 and March 2026.
Finally, your support in sharing our posts on social media blesses Joey Potter Missions in many powerful ways. We are grateful when you share this work with your church, small group, business, family, and friends so more people can learn about the work of Jesus through:
DRILL. RESCUE. FEED.
Please visit our website and consider leaving Joey Potter Missions a Google review. Taking a few minutes to review and support JPM online helps our website become more visible and allows this mission to reach more people.
We would also love to know how we can pray for you. Please text, email, or call us with your prayer requests.
Also, if you know of anyone who has a used SUV or pickup truck with under 100,000 miles and would like to donate it to Joey Potter Missions, please let us know.
We are thankful for you. God bless you.
Much love and many prayers,
Blessings,
Joey
